INTERNSHIP PHASE I
Teachers have three loves:love of learning, love of learners, and the love of bringing the first two loves together.
– Scott Hayden

As a former school teacher, it was disconcerting to not be in a classroom or be able to be with the students physically. However, within a couple of days, I got used to the new system. It was dun, challenging and at times tiring to come up with creative ways to teach the students online. The limited options available online, due to difficulties from the students connections were also a problem to be tackled.
Throughout the phase, the multimedia and multimethodology approaches were used with demonstration, discussion and lecture methods. Activities were provided through the PPT's and as homework. Due to time constraints, the number of activities had to be reduced, which was a little bit disheartening. Also, regular interruptions from the students' families who were curious to see the new 'normal' classroom, was a hindrance to the continuous flow of the lessons. This was overcome within a coupe of days when they lost interest. Time management was my biggest challenge but by the end of the 10 days I overcame the issue.
The online classes were a good experience but I still prefer the physical classroom set-up. Too much exposure to ET has taken a toil on health and well-being.
But, despite the troubles, I was lucky enough to have 10 amazing kids, who despite common belief, are truly curious beings with a passion and love for learning. The entire phase was completed due to their heartfelt support.
