I.Q.A.C Webinar 2020

 

The Government College of Teacher, Thiruvananthapuram conducted the webinar on the topic ‘Glimpses of National Education Policy 2020’ on November 14, 2020. The college I.Q.A.C. organized the event under the leadership of Principal, Dr. Rajeswari. K and I.Q.A.C co-ordinator and H.O.D of Social Science, Dr. V.K. Santhosh Kumar. The webinar was hosted on the Google Meet platform at 10.00 AM. The resource person for the function was the eminent Prof. (Dr.) M.A Sudir, U.G.C. Emeritus Professor, Gandhigram University, Tamil Nadu.

The New Education Policy 2020 comes into force after 34 years of no change. The need of the hour is to implement the much awaited changes properly and effectively. This requires an understanding of what the policy holds and describes, which was perfectly attained by the webinar. As future teachers, the session was a necessity in order to grasp the goals set for each one by the policy and thereby work towards the betterment of the country. The current society is a product of an out-dated system and therefore, as educators we need to reconstruct ourselves so as to efficiently execute the demands of NEP 2020.
